Late last week, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife trapped and relocated a mountain lion which has been prowling around the Laguna Lake area of San Luis Obispo.
The mountain lion killed one dog and was not shy about hanging around the neighborhood looking for others. This occurred near Perfumo Canyon which leads back to expansive wildlands including Diablo Canyon.
The wildlife officials trapped the cougar and put a GPS tracker on it. Then they relocated the lion to a remote area.
In November, a mountain lion was caught twice on camera in the backyard of a home off Oceanaire drive in San Luis.
In the second video, the lion could be seen chasing the homeowners dog.
In February, a woman was attacked and her dog was carried off during a walk in the Laguna Lake area.
