The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo county announced $2.26 million in unrestricted grants have been mobilized to support nonprofit organizations throughout San Luis Obispo county.
The funds have been distributed among 27 local nonprofit organizations, made possible through a collaboration with the county board of supervisors, First 5 San Luis Obispo county, and community donors. The board of supervisors first pledged an early investment of $1.2 million, and the partnership with First 5 and community donors rapidly expanded the grant monies.
Recipients include Lumina Alliance, People’s Self Help Housing, Boys and Girls Club of California central coast, Senior Nutrition/Meals That Connect, El Camino Homeless Coalition, and more.
Additionally, community foundation says they are launching a comprehensive sustainability support system to provide grantees access to consulting services, one-on-one coaching, organizational assessments, and tailored technical assistance.
