The city of Paso Robles has updated the parking program.
On Friday, the city discontinued use of the Way-To-Park app. This is no longer the way to park.
Here on out, all parking sessions must be started using the parking pay stations. You have to go to one of those kiosks to pay for parking.
The rate remains unchanged. You get 2 hours free, then one dollar per hour. A parking ticket is still $50.
The city council will revisit the program at its meeting next week. They deadlocked 2-2 at the last meeting. Unless the council revises decisions made back in December, beginning March first, the first two hours free will be eliminated. The hourly rate will go up to two dollars per hour. And effective March first, all payments must be made using the parking pay stations, no app.
The city council will revisit the parking.
