Earlier this month, Nick Bundren of Paso Robles was assaulted in front of a Dollar General store on the 900 block of K street in San Miguel.
31-year-old Janine Cesena reportedly beat Bundren with a baseball bat after accusing him of having a relationship with her girlfriend.
Bundren was transported to the Sierra Vista regional medical center, where he has reportedly suffered from a fractured skull, concussion, and internal bleeding.
A GoFundMe has been set up to assist in his recovery, which is said to be a lengthy one, as Nick has already suffered direct trauma to his ear and brain.
Cesena was arrested for the assault, and has since been released from jail.
