At Paso Robles city council last night, it was all about cannabis.
Citizen Jeff Carr telling the council he was not impressed by the way the city council is handling the cannabis issue. He said the process has been flawed.
Linda Becker asked why the council is not considering the community survey they commissioned. She asked, “What’s the rush?”
One of the issues is that out-of-town cannabis delivery companies are serving Paso Robles customers, but the city gets none of the tax revenue from those sales.
Ultimately, Steve Gregory made a motion, but it failed 3-2. After a failed motion by Fred Strong, Gregory repeated the motion. That motion passed on 3-2 vote with councilmen Hamon and Bausch casting the dissenting votes.
And so three licenses will be awarded to deliver recreationial marijuana in the city. Two go to the companies providing medical marijuana. The other goes to Kinfolk Holistics.
