The Paso Robles city council will be meeting on Wednesday this week in the Norris room at Centennial park, rather than its normal Tuesday meeting.
The rescheduling is due to a planning commission meeting being held tonight at 6:30.
On Wednesday’s agenda is a discussion item for inducing term limits to the city council and mayor position. California law authorizes cities to establish limits on the number of terms that the mayor and council-members may serve. Term limits must be placed on a ballot during a statewide primary, general, or municipal election, and must receive a majority of voter approval.
To meet the deadline of the November 2026 election, the city would have to submit the ballot materials no later than July 2026.
