Early Monday morning, Norma Moye passed away at Twin Cities hospital at 92 years old. She was surrounded by family, and died peacefully.
Norma Moye was the founder and executive director of the Paso Robles Main Street Association, recognized for its involvement for revitalizing the downtown Paso Robles area. Moye received a certificate of recognition for her 30th anniversary as the executive director of Main Street Association by California state senator John Laird back in 2022. She was a member of the Pioneer Day committee, historical society board, and the chamber of commerce. The Paso Robles history museum, the chamber of commerce, and other organizations have issued statements honoring Moye’s legacy as a leader, and a friend.
Moye’s son, Vince Vanderlip, issued a statement on behalf of his brother, sister, and extended family: “It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Norma Moye of Paso Robles. Our mother loved Paso Robles with all her heart, from the day she was born, to the day she departed, and you continue to give it back to her more than she could ever imagine. Thank you all so very much. She truly loved you all.” The family plans to hold a celebration of life to honor Moye – more details will be provided when they are available.
