The city of Paso Robles has been recognized as a Justserve city.
This recognition and acknowledgment comes from Justserve, a global volunteerism platform sponsored by the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Justerve recognizes Paso Robles for its “exceptional commitment to volunteerism and effective collaboration between community members and city staff.”
The award was presented by Floyd Butterfield during the city council meeting on Tuesday. He highlighted several large-scale volunteer projects in particular for the city, including 70 volunteers spreading mulch at Larry Moore park, about 130 volunteers simultaneously at Centennial park and Uptown Family park, and 20 Paso Robles high school students completing a mulch project at Veterans park in October.
It is one of 150 cities across the nation to receive this recognition. “Volunteerism is deeply woven into the fabric of Paso Robles,” Butterfield concluded.
