The Paso Robles school board meeting lasted for more than six hours last night. That includes a brief closed door meeting.
Ironically, most of the discussion came at the very end during the last agenda item presentation. That’s a proposed resolution banning critical race theory.
But first, the board approved on a 5-2 vote, option 4a, a map for the trustee districts. That map may be revised when the results of the 2020 Census are released.
As for critical race theory, superintendent Dubost made it clear, there would be no action taken last night.
When the discussion began, there were 50 written comments. 12 people waiting to speak in person. And another five on the phone. The discussion lasted well over an hour. Regardless no decision on CRT last night.
