The Paso Robles school board will be presented with a proposed budget for the next fiscal year in its meeting tonight at 6.
The current draft budget report is available for public review as part of the agenda. The school district has been facing a budget deficit, and earlier this year, implemented a plan to reduce staff in order to cut expenditures.
The report says the district’s revenues for next fiscal year are about 109.7 million dollars, and the estimated expenditures are around 124 million dollars, a difference in around 14 million dollars. The presentation says the next fiscal year will require about 2 million dollars in additional reductions. Staff will recommend budget approval on June 10, 2025.
