Remember the Recall Gavin movement?
Assemblyman Kevin Kiley of Folsom is spearheading the recall effort to remove governor Gavin Newsom from office. Kiley stopped in Atascadero in early March to talk with people about his campaign.
Now he is announcing that the secretary of state verifies enough signatures to put the recall on the ballot. In fact, the campaign has 130,000 signatures to spare, should Newsom try to stop the election by harassing people into retracting their signatures.
Governor Newsom has started a “Stop The Republican Recall” twitter account. He recently received a $25,000 donation from a high-speed rail contractor who was awarded a $2.2 billion dollar contract.
So, that effort to recall the governor is gaining momentum on both sides of the aisle.
