For the first time since June 2024, the Santa Margarita lake, also known as the Salinas reservoir, is at capacity.
The lake’s most recent water level following the winter storms is at 103%, which can pose some problems. Debris and cloudy water can be present at this level, and the rental dock is currently closed.
The rental dock will reopen in a few weeks once conditions improve, however.
