San Luis Obispo county health department announces two people died of coronavirus over the Thanksgiving weekend.
One was in their 60’s. The other in their 80’s. Both were vulnerable because of underlying conditions. The total number of fatalities has reached 38, including two inmates at the Men’s Colony. The average age of fatalities is over 85.
The county reports 49 of the new cases were in Paso Robles. 10 in Atascadero, 40 in Arroyo Grande. One in San Miguel. 2 at Cal Poly, one in Cambria. 4 in Templeton.
Since March, about 6300 county residents have tested positive for coronavirus. That’s out of a population of 285 thousand.
8 people are currently receiving hospital care. There are 400 hospital beds available for care, and another 950 at the government emergency center at Cal Poly’s rec center.
The county has a code enforcement line to call and report violations of coroniavirus-related orders.
You may get tested for coronavirus Tuesday through Saturday at the Paso Robles Event Centers Frontier pavilion from 7 in the morning until 7 at night.
