The 12th Annual FCA All-Star Football Classic was played at Pioneer Valley High School Saturday evening, between the best seniors from San Luis Obispo County & North Santa Barbara County.
Coming into the game, North Santa Barbara had a 9-3 record, including a five game win streak.
Santa Barbara scored twice in the first quarter to take a 13-0 lead.
In the second quarter, Mission Prep’s Colby White threw a 63-yard touchdown to Arroyo Grande’s Damian Santos.
White would do it again in the third quarter but this time on the ground scoring from 4-yards out to give SLO County a 14-13 lead.
Later in the third quarter, AG’s Koa Kopcho got a pick six to give SLO County a 21-13 lead.
A 4th quarter fumble recovery by North Santa Barbara led to a TD pass on a 4th and 12, However, the two-point conversion failed, making it a 21-19 game.
From there, SLO County ran the clock out and earned themselves their first win in the past six games.
The SLO County All-stars included players from Paso Robles, Templeton, Atascadero, Morro Bay, Coast Union, San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande & Nipomo.
The North Santa Barbara County All-stars from Santa Maria to Santa Ynez.
