On Monday, December 15th, San Luis Obispo police responded to a report from a victim alleging they were inappropriately touched several times while receiving a massage.
The department says this incident took place at Powersource Chiropractic, with the suspect, 25-year-old Malcolm Sears of San Luis Obispo, working as an independent massage therapist at that location. The victim says they believe the touching was outside of massage therapy standards, and sexual in nature.
Police responded at Sears’ residence, interviewing him, and later arresting him without incident. He was booked into the San Luis Obispo county jail for felony sexual battery by fraudulent representation.
