The San Luis Obispo county sheriff’s office is getting ready for its 34th year of its Annual Christmas Bicycle Giveaway.
Currently the sheriff’s office is seeking the public’s help in providing new bicycles, helmets, or monetary donations for replacement parts on refurbished bicycles. Adult bicycles are accepted, but children’s bicycles are preferred due to their high demand.
Bicycles or helmets can be donated at any of the sheriff’s office patrol stations in the county, or to the sheriff’s Honor Farm located on highway 1.
Children 15 years and under are eligible for the bicycle giveaway, and applications can be filled out at: slosheriff.org. Applications are due by November 28th, and the giveaway will take place on December 12th.
