Tomorrow, San Luis Obispo county supervisors revisit the redistricting issue. You may remember John Peschong’s motion at the last meeting John Peschong on November 19th, making the motion that led to reducing the number of options from 40 to only two maps. One was developed by a south county man, Richard Patton.
The other map was designed by a task force with the San Luis Obispo chamber of commerce. That task force includes progressive Turko Simmes, who is a retired contractor who lives in rural Atascadero. That map preserves the status quo. It does not make many drastic changes to the current boundaries.
The supervisors will discuss those options at their meeting tomorrow.
