The 8th Annual Tamale Festival is set to take place this weekend in Atascadero’s sunken gardens.
The event starts on May 3rd from 5:30 to 8 pm, and then on May 4th from 11 am to 7 pm. “Fiesta Friday” kicks off the event with a variety of tamale vendors, and the Atascadero chamber of commerce hosting its annual “Sip & Shop” event with over 15 participating businesses offering a variety of beer, coffee, and cider.
Complimentary tours of city hall will also be offered, and a fireworks show begins at 8:15 pm. The main event begins on Saturday, May the 4th, with over 100 vendors on display, offering tamales and a wide variety of other foods to appease everyone’s appetite.
Entertainment will feature Emcee Francisco Ramiraz, and performances from Mariachi Mexicanisimo, the famous dancing horses, Paso Ballet group, Voces Tapitas Mariachi, and more!
