REMEMBER THE CRASH OF JOSH TURNER’S TOUR BUS ON HIGHWAY 46 EAST OF SHANDON? MEMBERS OF THE COUNTRY SINGER’S ROAD CREW WHO SURVIVED THAT DEADLY CRASH ARE SUING A TENNESSEE COMPANY THAT OPERATED THE BUS.
IT WAS ON SEPTEMBER OF LAST YEAR THAT THE BUS CRASHED FOLLOWING A CONCERT AT VINA ROBLES AMPHITHEATER. THE BUS LEFT THE ROADWAY AND CRASHED INTO A DRY CREEK BED. A SOUND ENGINEER WAS KILLED IN THE CRASH.
JOSH TURNER AND HIS BAND WERE TRAVELING IN A SEPARATE BUS AT THE TIME OF THE COLLISION. IT’S NOT KNOWN WHY THE DRIVER FROM TENNESSEE LEFT THE ROAD, CRASHED THROUGH A BARBED WIRE FENCE AND CONTINUE ON FOR ABOUT 200 YARDS BEFORE DRIVING OFF A CLIFF INTO THE DRY CREEK BED. BESIDES THE FATALITY, SEVEN PEOPLE WERE INJURED, INCLUDING THE DRIVER.
ATTORNEY RON GOLDMAN OUT OF LOS ANGELES SAYS, “THIS CASE IS NOT JUST ABOUT NEGLIGENT DRIVING, IT’S ABOUT DANGEROUS MOTOR COACHES ON OUR HIGHWAYS WITH NO SAFETY EQUIPMENT TO PROTECT THE PASSENGERS.”
