Press Release Vegetation Fire Niblick 11_9
The Paso Robles fire department released a statement of a vegetation fire earlier this morning.
The fire broke out in the Salinas river south of Niblick at around 3:35 am today. The fire was in the center of the riverbed with difficult access. The fire was contained to a 20 by 20 foot area with no injuries reported.
The fire department says the cause of the fire was the result of an escaped warming fire from an adjacent encampment.
High fire conditions will remain in effect through the weekend for the central coast and interior valleys, due to low humidity’s and windy conditions associated with a Santa Ana wind event affecting southern California.
