When his parachute failed to open properly, a British soldier participating in a group training jump while visiting Camp Roberts, landed on the roof of a home in Atascadero late Tuesday afternoon.
The jumper went through the exterior and interior roof, but was not seriously hurt.
No one was at home at the time of his unfortunate landing.
Camp Roberts officials say the parachutist belongs to a British military unit conducting maneuvers as part of group training.
All other jumpers in the unit landed safely at the designated landing field on private property.
