Darius Rucker to perform at the mid state fair. The former lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish says he learned to sing listening to his mother sing in the kitchen in Charleston, South Carolina. Sadly, she died of cancer before his music reached the radio airwaves. Darius Rucker will perform July 21st at the Paso Robles Event Center.
