The California Highway Patrol says that was a fatal accident on highway 46 near the Jack Ranch Café Monday afternoon. They have not yet identified the victim.
44-year-old Jose Morales of Parlier was arrested for impaired driving. He allegedly caused the crash. He was booked at the county jail.
Several vehicles were involved in the collision. Drivers from Lake Isabella and San Diego also involved in the crash on 46 near Bitterwater road.
