Atascadero’s police chief may be terminated.
Cal Coast News is reporting that Atascadero police chief Bob Masterson has been out of the office for several weeks while the city manager initiates efforts to terminate his employment. No word on the reasons for the proposed termination.
Ultimately, that’s up to mayor Heather Moreno and the city council.
Police chief Bob Masterson joined the city on January of 2021. Previously he worked for four and a half years in the King City police department and eight years as chief of the College of the Sequoias police department.
