A fight broke out in Atascadero, after two dogs fought in the riverbed.
Two men, each walking their dogs off leash, encountered one another last Thursday in the riverbed.
The two dogs started fighting, and one of the men pulled a knife and stabbed the other’s dog, killing it. That inspired the men to fight.
This was around 5:50 Thursday evening in the riverbed near Buena avenue and Sycamore road.
Police say the dogs had been involved in a previous incident.
The incident is currently under investigation.
