That old fire station on Ramada drive in Paso Robles has finally been renovated, and crews are back living in fire station 30.
The fire station was decommissioned back in 2018 because of the building’s bad condition. The California department of general services allocated $6.5 million dollars to build a new fire station.
For the past 2 and a half years, fire fighters worked out of a temporary station set up at the north county regional center in Templeton.
Over the weekend, they finally moved back into fire station 30 on Ramada drive. Crews stationed there serve rural Paso Robles and provide aid to the city of Paso Robles, Templeton and Atascadero if called to do so.
