Flag Day yesterday. Did you put a flag out? Flags lined the Veterans Memorial bridge in Paso Robles, which is also known as the Niblick bridge. Flags of each of the armed services joined American flags on the bridge yesterday. Flags also lined El Camino Real in Atascadero.
At republican headquarters yesterday, they registered voters and gathered signatures for the recall of governor Gavin Newsom. Linda Becker is chair of the republican first district.
Becker says the recall effort will try to gather two million signatures by the end of July to qualify it for the general election in November. The last recall effort failed to gather enough signatures. Becker says changing events have inspired another recall attempt against Newsom.
There was a protest Saturday at the downtown city park in Paso Robles. Becker says there will be another one in two weeks.
