Gas prices in San Luis Obispo county are through the roof.
At the Gorda Springs Resort in Big Sur, the cost for a gallon of regular gas is $7.59. That’s one of the highest prices in the US.
Gasbuddy.com reports that San Luis Obispo county had the fourth-highest gas prices in the nation on Friday. The average was $4.61 per gallon.
In San Francisco it was $4.69 per gallon.
The high prices continue a trend we’ve seen since president Joe Biden took office.
The average price in the US is up about $1.50 per gallon from one year ago.
