Highway one is open again.
The governor said Caltrans worked every day to get it open as soon as possible. The governor also said he enjoyed the visit to Big Sur on Friday for the reopening.
Monterey county supervisor Mary Adams also talked about the closure of highway one, and what it meant to people in Big Sur and Carmel.
Highway one back open after heavy rains in January washed out a section of the highway near Rat Creek.
