Governor Gavin Newsom is proposing that Humboldt State University be transformed into another Cal Poly like campus.
He is encouraging the campus become a magnet for science and engineering students.
Newsom’s proposed budget would allocate millions of dollars toward renovations of the universities science and laboratory facilities.
