Despite the wet and windy weather, hundreds of people turned out for the state championship football game Saturday night at Atascadero high school.
The Atascadero Greyhounds shut down San Gabriel, winning the state title 41-0.
The team which lost its first three games, won its final two on shutouts. Including the state championship. Coach Vic Cooper says it’s a great way to end the season.

Stanford has a new football coach. The Cardinal hiring Sacramento State’s head coach, Troy Taylor. Taylor has been head coach at Sac State for four years. During his tenure, the Hornets were 23-1 in conference. 30-8 overall.
