Highway one is open again after closure due to the Colorado fire in Big Sur. That fire is now 60% contained.
It’s burned about 700 acres near the Bixby Creek bridge. The highway was closed between Garrapata Creek and Point Sur. But it’s again open.
So once again, you can drive all the way to Carmel on highway one today.
