If you like fall, you’re going to enjoy this week in the north county. Cooler temperatures. Leaves beginning to change color. And a few pumpkins popping up on porches in preparation for Halloween.
The air quality impacted some by a 200-acre fire burning near Fort Hunter Liggett. They’re calling it the Coleman fire. It’s burning near the area of the Dolan fire, which remains 98% contained.
Because of the steep terrain, fire fighters are relying on planes and helicopters to fight that fire. The Los Padres national forest is under the unified command with the Fort Hunter Liggett fire department. Voluntary evacuation orders are in place for Pine Canyon, Reliz Canyon and Coleman Canyon. That’s for that Coleman fire burning northeast of Fort Hunter Liggett.
