The Paso Robles city council will be the next Groundwater Sustainability Agency to appoint its director and alternate for the Joint Powers Authority.
Each GSA in the JPA must appoint a member for both positions. The county board of supervisors previously approved supervisor Bruce Gibson as director, and supervisor Heather Moreno as alternate.
The agenda for tonight’s Paso Robles city council meeting recommends approving mayor John Hamon as director, and councilmember Kris Beal as alternate. The city council can appoint any of the other councilmembers to the JPA.
The agenda also says the county is currently handling administrative functions to establish the JPA until the first meeting, likely in early April.
You can attend tonight’s meeting in person, or listen right here on KPRL.
