Paso Robles firefighters responded to a structure fire Friday evening near 818 Sycamore Canyon.
A release by the department says crews arrived within 4 minutes of the report, finding moderate smoke coming from the front and side of the residence.
Inside, crews rescued a large dog, and successfully contained the fire to the kitchen area. The department says no residents were home at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
