PG&E announced that their retail customers received 100% greenhouse gas-free electricity in 2023, which makes their portfolio of electricity sources one of the world’s cleanest.
34% of electricity delivered to retail customers came from renewable sources, including solar and wind power.
53% of the deliveries came from carbon-free nuclear power generated by Diablo Canyon, and 13% came from large hydroelectric power.
PG&E says its goal is to reach carbon neutrality by 2040, while California’s is by 2045.
