Over 100 people took part in a rally in support of abortion rights in San Luis Obispo Saturday. The rally inspired by the leak from the US Supreme Court related to an impending decision on Roe versus Wade, the decision 50 years ago which legalized abortion throughout the United States.
The marchers held signs like,
“Keep your filthy laws off my silky drawers”
“My body, My choice”
And “Don’t tread on me.”
The CEO of Planned Parenthood Central Coast spoke. She said the organization has worked to protect reproductive rights for more than 100 years. She did not say how many babies had been aborted locally over the past 50 years. Tosh said, Planned Parenthood is not going anywhere.
If the supreme court hands down a ruling allowing states to decide their laws on abortion. Laws in California are not expected to change.
