A vegetation fire broke out yesterday afternoon at about 5 pm near lake Nacimiento.
The San Luis Obispo county fire department says the fire was near the main gate of Heritage Ranch and Gateway drive.
The fire grew quickly to approximately 2 acres in size, but fire officials say forward progress was stopped at about 5:20 pm.
