A structure fire at the south end of rural Paso Robles yesterday spread to vegetation and grew to five acres.
The fire first reported at 11:20.
Fire fighters deployed a helicopter and plane to drop water and fire retardant, which prevented the fire from spreading.
The fire department says weed control at neighboring properties helped fire fights quickly get the fire under control.
