A vegetation fire sparked Thursday afternoon in Templeton at around 2 pm.
The fire was located near the intersection of Vineyard drive and Hidden Valley road, close to Vineyard elementary school. Vineyard drive was closed as firefighters tackled the blaze, containing it to about two to three acres before mopping up the blaze.
Students at the school sheltered in place during the fire. Vineyard drive was reopened several hours later.
