California’s farmers markets are facing challenges, even as produce shoppers are returning after easing of pandemic restrictions.
Foot traffic remains light at many urban markets as the flow of office workers remains down due to employees still working from home. Some markets remain closed and others – like the Ferry Plaza Farmers market in San Francisco – are climbing back toward near-normal traffic levels.
