Rain is on its way to the north county, but it won’t arrive until late Sunday. We’ll have sunshine today and tomorrow. Rain clouds will gather Sunday, and the rain will begin Sunday night.
Forecasters are now saying we’ll get about an inch of rain Sunday night, and two tenths of an inch Monday morning. We’ll see sunshine by Tuesday and continuing through next week.
As for the long term forecast, you may have noticed a lot of acorns dropping from local oak trees. You may remember PG and E meteorologist John Lindsey’s description of the old ranchers explanation for acorns and wet weather. It was true in 2018.
But this year forecasters say La Nina is back, and this may be another dry year in the north county.
One thing is certain, we’ll get some heavy rain Sunday night and early Monday morning.
