Did you see smoke over Creston yesterday?
More than 300 acres in a controlled burn on the east side of highway 229 between highway 58 and the town of Creston. The burn was to eradicate hazardous vegetation.
It was conducted by SLO county fire, working with the APCD, National Weather Service and California Air Resources board. Local landowners also had input.
