Grover Beach police responded to reports of a “suspicious device” on the 1200 block of Mentone avenue last night.
The street was closed off to traffic, and a shelter-in-place was issued for nearby residents in response.
Later that evening, the Grover Beach police cleared the area, saying the device was determined to be a geocache recreational gaming pipe.
