The race is on for the local assembly seat held by Templeton republican Jordan Cunningham.
In recent weeks, Morro Bay city council member Dawn Addis has out-raised the incumbent by more than $64,000.
The challenger from Morro Bay has raised almost $700 thousand dollars for the campaign.
Meanwhile, she is refusing to show up for scheduled debates with Cunningham.
Cunningham has served two two-year terms.
