In Santa Barbara, firefighters responded to calls for a cliff rescue late Monday afternoon. People reported seeing a woman dangling from a cliff over Hope Ranch beach. That was around 3:45 Monday afternoon.
When firefighters arrived, they found the woman was actually a mannequin left over from a movie shoot several days before.
Looked real, but it wasn’t. They rescued the mannequin, regardless.
That was to prevent other calls.
