On Friday afternoon, shortly after 3 pm, a crash took place on highway 46’s westbound lanes near the Shandon rest area.
CHP says the crash involved an SUV and a motorcycle. The cyclist suffered moderate injuries, and was airlifted from the scene to a nearby hospital.
Traffic on highway 46 westbound was slowed down significantly as a result of the incident.
