Paso Robles city council meets tonight in a virtual meeting. The council scheduled to conduct a public workshop on the housing element update.
One issue which may come up in public comment, the construction of a camp for riverbed transients. Construction on that new camp off North River road began last week with bulldozers grading Borkey Flats, between North River road and the Salinas riverbed. Mayor Steve Martin says its the latest in a series of efforts to clean out the riverbed and stop the numerous fires there, he says clearing the riverbed has been an uphill battle.
Getting transients out of the riverbed would be a big step. So that issue may come up at tonights meeting. The meeting to be held at 6:30 tonight. It’s a virtual meeting, but you can hear it live here on KPRL at 6:30.
