A small plain crashed at an elementary school in Orcutt yesterday morning. The pilot was killed in the crash. He was the only occupant of the single-engine pane. He has not been identified.
The aircraft crash landed on the basketball courts of Ralph Dunlap school on approach to Santa Maria airport. It caught fire after the crash. Fire fighters quickly doused the flames.
