The US Coast Guard navigated through dense fog to rescue an injured man on a bulk carrier off the coast of Morro Bay.
The captain of the vessels contacted the 11th coast guard district command center and asked for help. The coast guard sent a helicopter from San Francisco. The dolphin lowered a crew member and a stretcher to hoist the injured 27-year-old man into the helicopter. He was transported to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara.
